Management really starts the process of detecting issues in their firm when they have an understanding of the causes of stress for workers. Employees are feeling the effects of stress, pressure, subjugation, rush, and disappointment in greater numbers than ever before. Small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) workers often bear the weight of managers’ and coworkers’ high expectations across all organizational levels.

Time constraints, shifting work schedules, and other time-related stresses all add up to a challenging work environment for workers. With increasing consequences on earnings, motivation, and even the internal operations of SMEs, stress is becoming a more perilous component of business life.

CONCLUSION

Outcomes improve when stress is effectively managed, creating a healthy workplace where workers feel appreciated and where the culture of the business is favorable.

As a whole, poor economic performance, increased absenteeism, employee sickness, and greater accident and injury rates are all results of stress in the workplace for SMEs.

Absences due to illness or injury often last longer than those due to other reasons, and job-related stress has been shown to contribute to an increase in the risk of premature retirement. The estimated national cost of chronic stress due to installation among workers, SMEs, and society is billion.
